The social media magnifying glass...

While I might not be the biggest technology guy on the block, I do appreciate how it can help us in both our business and our life. Thing is, many people spend their time on social networking sites while their business is crying out for help. They think that the principles of business have changed in this technological era. Well I believe that the principles don’t change; only the tactics do. Voice-to-voice and face-to-face is still the way to build a relationship with a client. Social media simply magnifies the fundamentals of your business; it is not actually one of the fundamentals by itself.

I interact with our Members on Facebook all the time but our initial connection is not formed online. I’ll still get on a plane to visit people, do a presentation, and then hear their stories first-hand. That’s how I connect.

Are you using social media as a magnifier for the fundamentals you're already engaged in, or as an excuse to not go do them?

Build the relationship and remember - nobody clicks 'Add to Cart' when they're buying or selling a home! Go see your people.

It’s a good life!

Time for a Turning Point

This week I’m headed to the Lone Star state for our Turning Point event and if you don’t yet have a seat, I’d encourage you not to miss these two days with Joe Niego and myself in Dallas. It’s an opportunity to work on your business, meet like-minded professionals who are on track to earn seven times the national average income, and discover what it takes to build a blueprint for success in this new era in real estate. I know this much for sure…I won’t be missing it!

Oh, by the way…congrats to our Blitzers on the almost 14,000 referrals received so far. You know how proud we are of your efforts - let's keep up the good work.

It’s a good life!

Working by Referral - snow or shine!

It was another beautiful day here in San Diego but you guys know that we don’t hide out under the sunny winter skies ALL the time…we get out to meet our Members across North America and last week was no different as we travelled up and down the east coast.

Today I’m sorting through the latest Pop-By samples that have come into the office from our Members and I’m reminded of how diligent you all are with working the Referral Systems. Not only are you using your creativity to dream up these Pop-Bys, you're out there in the cold making sure you get them to your clients.

At the end of the day, no matter what the weather, the market or the media is up to, your business is about the strength of the relationships you build with your clients. Calls, notes and Pop-Bys. It’s as simple and as complex as that! So lets get out there and push ourselves to the next level. You guys have been making a splash in this industry for some time now…why slow down now? Oh, by the way...after just a month of Blitzing, you have already generated 11,171 referrals.

It’s a good life!

No storms will stop this sweep...

Top of the morning to you from the chilly East Coast where this week I'm visiting with folks in Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland (there are just a few seats left if you're in the neighborhood). For any of you out there having second thoughts about doing a Pop-By let's have a look at the numbers coming in from the Blitz to gauge the results of these activities.

After just 3 weeks, you've written almost 94,000 notes, made 113,352 calls and done 55,060 Pop-Bys...all leading to 8,699 referrals given and 8,774 referrals received! I don't know about you, but I like our chances.

If this is the first you are reading about our lead-generation drive, the Blitz, then visit The Blitz to learn more. For the rest of you, keep up the good work!

It's a good life!
